When Khalid Fahim arrived from Bangladesh to pursue his MBA in Business Analytics at Clarkson University, he was ready to take a bold leap toward his future. “I’ve always been driven to succeed, and my journey has taken me from working in growth marketing at a startup to pursuing an MBA in Business Analytics in the US,” Khalid said. “I started my career as an intern at a startup influencer marketing company and worked my way up to become a growth marketing specialist. Over three years, I gained valuable experience and contributed to securing $300,000 in investment.”
As Khalid collaborated with the company’s tech team, he discovered a new passion that would change his career path: data analytics. “I realized the importance of having basic knowledge in data analytics. This sparked my interest, and I decided to pursue an MBA in Business Analytics to gain a deeper understanding of data-driven decision-making. I saw this as an opportunity to challenge myself and gain the skills needed to start my own business.”

Through his studies at Clarkson, Khalid has focused on building his professional network and sharpening the skills needed to launch his own venture. “Adjusting to the new culture and time zone was tough, but the faculty at my university has been incredibly supportive,” he explained.
Even the weather became part of the learning experience. “The weather was a shock, especially the transition from hot and humid to cold winters! However, I’ve learned to adapt and appreciate the opportunities available in the US.”
Advice for Future Students
Khalid’s advice for anyone considering Clarkson’s MBA in Business Analytics?
“Don’t be afraid if you don’t have experience. You’ll get enough opportunities to learn and grow. The faculty is supportive, and the course is designed to help you learn from mistakes. With determination and hard work, you can achieve your goals and make a meaningful impact in the business world.”
